This year has flown by–it’s already summer!! With August right around the corner, that can mean only one thing… sunflowers! You don’t want to miss your chance to see fields of sunflowers in full bloom. It’s a sight that will surely bring a smile to your face. Naturally, there are several events to enjoy these flowers. So, how about making a great summer memory and checking it out?

①Sakai – Harvest Hill: Sunflower Fest

During the Sunflower Fest you can enjoy over 40 varieties of sunflowers–that’s right 40!! Around 80,000 sunflowers have been planted and are getting ready to bloom. Of course there will be yellow sunflowers, but also many types that you may or may not have seen: red, white, light green, even sunflowers with multiple layers of petals! There will surely be new sights to see when you are at the Harvest hill Sunflower Fest. In fact, this year the sunflowers will appear in a gradient along the field so you can enjoy the individual sunflowers as well as them all together!! Harvest Hills even planted seeds for sunflowers that can grow over 7 meteres tall! Perhaps they’ll even be able to grow the world’s tallest sunflower…? At Harvest Hill’s Sunflower Fest you can also expect to enjoy different sunflower themed craft workshops, a special food menu, and more.
